48 Lessons I Learned From Disney Princesses

Growing up, I watched Disney princess movies non-stop. I played with their Barbie dolls, I wore clothes embezzled with their faces, and I sang their songs every minute of the day. Little did I know that these princesses would teach me the words of wisdom that I live by to this day. Whenever I have a problem, I remember these women: Aurora, Belle, Moana, Mulan, etc. and I remember the valuable lessons that they taught me. Today I will share these lessons with you.

Snow White:

1. Belt out the songs in your heart.

2. Always be kind, even when people are unkind to you.

3. Never stop wishing on a well.

4. Just because someone looks different, doesn’t mean they should be treated differently.

Cinderella:

1.  Work hard, no matter what.

2. Believe in magic.

3. Make the best out of your situation.

Aurora:

1. Simplicity is bliss.

2. True love requires patience.

3. Care for the animals.

Ariel:

1. Follow your dreams, even if they seem impossible.

2. Friendship is priceless.

3. Your voice is your most valuable tool.

4. Sometimes sacrifice is necessary to get what you want.

Belle:

1. Always strive for an education.

2. Put others’ needs before your own.

3. Don’t settle.

4. Open your heart to those around you.

5. Cherish your family.

Jasmine:

1. Know your worth.

2. Be yourself.

3. Know that you are beautiful, inside and out.

Pocahontas:

1. Respect nature.

2. Be wise in your decision-making.

3. Lead those around you.

4. Don’t be afraid to take risks in order to do what is right.

Mulan:

1. Your outward features do not define you.

2. Do not feel like you have to abide by gender roles.

3. Fight for worthy causes.

4. You can anything you set your mind to.

5. Men are not better than you, you are equal.

Tiana:

1. Humility is an essential virtue.

2. Nothing is going to get handed to you, you have to work for it.

3. Material possessions do not matter.

Rapunzel:

1. Look for the light in every person.

2. Never give up.

3. Don’t take things for granted.

Merida:

1. You don’t a man to be happy.

2. Love your mother, she is the one who loves you most.

3. You control your own destiny.

Elsa and Anna:

1. The power of sisterhood is unparalleled.

2. It’s okay to ask for help.

3. Always have a positive attitude.

Moana:

1. Respect those who are wiser than yourself.

2. Believe in your own capabilities.

3. Be a role model to everyone around you.

4. Serve others in everything you do.

And, finally the lesson all of them have taught me:

1. Don’t let anyone treat you less than what you are: a princess.
