Despite being in an era of golden age television, the ones with excellent writing, acting and representation from a diverse cast are not praised as much as others. Even then, when there are roles given to POC or characters from the LGBTQ+ spectrum, they are not given enough screen time. For example, the CW show Supergirl scrapping the romance between Kara and James and bringing on Mon-El (a former slave owner on his previous planet) or Riverdale making Kevin the stereotypical gay friend, despite one cast member saying that’s not what they intend to do prier the shows release. Of course, with poor writing, that is what happened. But not these shows:

4. Brooklyn Nine-Nine
5. The Good Fight
